Solider Half Marathon Results

After months and months of preparation my half marathon has come and gone. But wow was it an amazing morning.

First it started at 4:00 am when Kristin and I got up and started getting ready, the kids were up shortly after and my mother joined us as we walked out the door a little after 5:00 am. For these past few months they have all been a huge part of my training and weight loss journey. It was April 16th that my journey really began and on that day our church hosted it’s first 5k race. For five years or so I had been talking Continue Reading…

There are a lot of people who inspire me in running… co-workers, old friends and especially some new friends. One of the stories I’ve appreciated the most is the one about Ben Davis (http://bendoeslife.tumblr.com/). What is so awesome about Ben is that he is unselfishly putting himself out there to inspire others. This past summer he, his dad and brother, toured the entire US and some of Canada doing meet and runs. They didn’t cost anything and they were a great opportunity to meet fellow runners who were on the journey of losing weight as I am. At was at that meet Continue Reading…
